AT&T Joins TIA 2016 as Industry Partner with Co-Located AT&T Supplier Conference

Arlington, VA (December 16, 2015) The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today announced that John Donovan, AT&T Senior Executive Vice President of Technology and Operations, and Jim Cicconi, AT&T Senior Executive Vice President of External and Legislative Affairs, will be among the industry leaders keynoting TIA 2016 Network of the Future Conference June 6-9, 2016 in Dallas, Texas.

TIA 2016 Network of the Future is the comprehensive North American industry conference convening the entire communications ecosystem to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the converged network.

The conference will include a special focus on meeting customers’ needs as data usage continues to rise. AT&T is taking a leadership position in the industry by shifting from a hardware-centric network to a network built on software, and John Donovan is driving this pivot at AT&T.

AT&T’s Jim Cicconi will be participating in a keynote panel, together with David Cohen, Senior Executive Vice President of Comcast, and Craig Silliman, Executive Vice President – Public Policy and General Counsel, Verizon.

AT&T will join TIA 2016 and hold its annual Supplier Conference in conjunction with this year’s event. This will be the third year that TIA and AT&T have joined in hosting their conferences. The 2016 AT&T Supplier Conference will be a two day invitation-only event.
